Mixed-use building is a conceptual project I designed when I was at school. It is a 12,000 sqm construction that involves commercial and residential zones, that are functionally separated. The architecture is shaped following the idea of separation. The office and retail part is designed as a dynamic beveled cone penetrating into an extruded static rectangle shape of residential part, in such a way that creates an intersection line as a part of Architectural shape. The residential part has two common elements with the office part that are interpreted and solved differently - balconies and an oblique edge of the building that is the same as a mirrored axis of the cone (office part). The construction is supported with a frame structure.
